Hacken on "Be My Guest" - Stephen fuels baby rumors, Hacken tries to help Joey Leung

Hacken Lee and Nancy Sit yesterday appeared on TVB executive Stephen Chan's "Chi Wun Fan Guk". Before the interview, Stephen Chan was asked how he chose guests to invite on his show. He explained: "Guests i invite need to be good looking, have great wives, have children, not have affairs, nor loved someone who was already in a relationship". To this baby comment, Hacken could only smile forcedly next to Stephen.

Hacken said that Stephen Chan was extremely good at asking questions, often guiding his guests from one answer to the next, until all their heartfelt thoughts were said. "Since Stephen became the host of Be My Guest, he has set a standard for becoming a host in TVB. Earlier, TVB asked me to host a game show (Minutes to fame) - I said I couldnt, I better wait for "Be my guest" to finish before I think about it."

Hacken suggested that Stephen invite Joey Leung to be a guest, saying: "I know Joey doesn't like talking about everyhting he thinks of, but I believe each event should have an ending. I think viewers would also be very interested in his life in the past two years. The gossip and news out there is very unfair to him, and he could use this chance to straighten the record."

Hacken @ drive of life MV premiere

TVB's new series "The Drive of Life" will begin airing on July 16th. On June 18th, the "premiere screening" for "The Drive of Life MV" was held. Hacken Lee and Xiao Gang are the singers of this themesong, and appeared at the premiere, along with a small orchestra, conductor Yip Wing Sze, top TVB executive Virginia Lok, and actors from the series including Michael Miu, Sheren Tang, Raymond Lam, Wong Suk Yi, Myolie Wu and Joe Ma.

As it was Michael Miu's birthday, everyone gave him a cake and celebrated with him. This is Michael's 49th birthday, and Sheren gave him a birthday kiss, laughing that Michael still had a lot of gossip for this film even though he was only "falling" into his character - the reality was nothing like what the gossip said.

Hacken @ Po Leung Kuk Charity Show pre-ceremony

Hacken appeared at the blessing ceremony for Po Leung Kuk Charity Show. In response to reports he bought a 4 carat massive diamond for his wife, he replied: "Do you think I'm suddenly rich!?" He said that he entered the jewelry store to buy an earring for himself to wear at the Charity show. He also said that if he wanted to buy a 4 carat ring from that store, he would have to be a very rich person, and he was only an ordinary person - the reporters were exaggerating too much. As for reports wife Emily has cut her hair short, and is taking herbal medicine, for their baby, he replied "She cut her hair short so that she can exercise more comfortably. I guess with women, when they have long hair they want it short, and when they have it short they want long hair. All women are like that!"

Minutes to Fame to return in March

Popular TVB talent show "Minutes to Fame" created a following after its release and TVB have confirmed the show will return in March, with even better prizes. TVB has also announced the show will travel to different places. The hosts are confirmed to be Miriam Yeung and either Hacken Lee or Joey Leung. Producer Chin Kwok Wai has confirmed that "Minutes to Fame" will be returning at the end of March and Hacken and Joey have been in negotiations, but details have not yet been confirmed with their company.

Hacken Lee to sing themesong for grand production The Drive of Life

TVB grand production, entitled "The Drive of Life", will be aired across South East Asia on 1st of July. Hacken Lee has been confirmed to be singing the themesong, which will be written by prolific composer Joseph Koo.

Hacken continues working despite disappointment

Hacken Lee commented that at the TVB JSG awards ceremony, the atmosphere was very relaxed, with MC Eric Tsang saying many interesting comments, but the best moment of the whole show was when general manager of TVB Stephen Chan told Eric to shake hands with singer Joey Yung (Eric had previously made hurtful comments towards Joey).

As to the loss of the best male singer award, Hacken conceded he was a bit disappointed, and said all he could do was hope for a better result next year. However, he was happy for the winner Eason Chan, who is from the same record company as him. Hacken said: "Each year the best person in the entertainment industry will always be Andy Lau, and those who lose in their plans are the record companies, not the singers. I hope that everybody can fight for the awards with not what they say, but with the amount of work they put in and the results they get."

As to losing the award to Eason, Hacken replied: "This year Eason has really done very well. Of course I am a bit disappointed, but the music industry is about long-term results, so I hope 2007 I can do even better. Once again, Hacken reiterated that he felt winning awards should be each singer's individual capabilities, and hoped singer's would not fight for awards through a war of words.
